Anne Frank like all teenagers, is trying to find out who she really is. Like all teenagers she is trying to be the real her, and show her true colors. But, it is hard for her to because she is afraid people will make fun of her.
While reading this excerpt from her diary, it really made me notice how normal Anne Frank was. She worried about the same stuff that we tend to worry about. She worried about her friends, personality, and kid stuff. Here is a quote from Anne Franks Diary: ” My lighter superficial side will always be to quick for the deeper side of me and that’s why it will always win. You can’t imagine how often I’ve already tried to push this Anne away, to cripple her, to hide her, because after all she is only half of what’s called Anne.”
I have felt the same way Anne had many times. I have tried to “Put on a mask,” like Anne. But, in the end I have realized that it’s just better to be you, and live life the way you want to. And that’s what Anne was trying to do!!

My teacher told me about a program called Relay for Life. It is an organization that raises money for a cure for cancer. You raise money all year long, and then on a relay night, your team walks around the track. The walking is in honor of those who have lost their lives to cancer, or those who are battling it. Relay for Life is a great way to raise money and have fun, especially on relay night. On a relay night, your team sets up a tent site and you stay up all night long. You can play games, sing dance, anything, but one member of your team must be walking on the track at all times. And all of the money that is raised from the activities goes to Relay for Life. My team is called Riverbank Cure, and we are going to the Adams relay on May 16th. You can raise money for a team, donate to a team, or start your own. Either way you are making a difference of the life of cancer survivors/fighters. So support Relay for Life.
If you want to get involved check out the Relay for Life website: www.relayforlife.org

The things/ little quirks that make me unique are my personality, my laugh, my love for performing, and my love for UNC. Having an outgoing personality definitely makes me stand out in the crowd. I am never shy, and never scared to express myself. In a crowd of people I will stand out, because I am loud, and laugh alot. My crazy personality lets people know that I am in the room.
I am a very happy person, and try to cheer people up when they are down. And, no matter what I will stand up for my friends. My crazy personality, picks people up when they are in a down mood. I will stand by them, no matter what. I am the one who jokes all the time, and has a ball with life.
I love to perform because it gives me a chance to be something I am not and step into another person’s shoes. It gives me a chance to see things through another person’s eyes.
I also love to laugh. I laugh all the time, I laugh even when jokes are not funny. I cannot take anything seriously. Usually, I am the one who cracks the jokes,( sometimes they are not that funny, but thats okay.) Caroline says “ She always makes me laugh with her funny ideas and vivacious personality.
And one more thing, I love the UNC Tarheels. I am the biggest fan ever!!
All of these little traits and qualities make me unique, special, and not like anyone else.
